Matt brings over 20 years of construction experience with a concentration in residential, commercial, industrial, and retail development. He has served in multiple executive leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Construction and President, where he led multidisciplinary teams and oversaw large-scale project execution across diverse asset classes.
Throughout his career, Matt has directed the construction of more than 1000 residential units and managed $300M+ in renovation and ground-up development over a seven-year period. He has led teams of 20+ construction professionals and overseen complex projects spanning mixed-use, higher education, industrial, athletic facilities, hospitality, retail, medical office, parking structures, and student housing. Over the course of his career, Matt has managed more than $3 billion in total construction value, demonstrating deep expertise in full lifecycle project management—from predevelopment and budgeting through execution and closeout. He maintains a strong focus on cost control, schedule adherence, quality assurance, and client satisfaction. He has also overseen 25+ historic tax credit projects, requiring precision coordination, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder alignment.
His main functions as Managing Partner and CEO of CG Construction Group entail overseeing the organization on all levels, specifically operations, business development, marketing, accounting and future planning.
Matt was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Albany Business Review (2022). He holds a bachelor's degree in communication from the University at Albany, where he was a member of both the football and baseball teams. He currently serves on the University at Albany Athletic Committee Board of Directors and volunteers as a youth basketball and football coach. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.

Greg has spent the past 8 years in construction and property management after transitioning from the retail business he founded and operated successfully for over 15 years. He is skilled in managing teams and complex projects and leads our company’s construction division. Greg is responsible for managing all our job sites as our teams of contractors work through extensive renovations of newly acquired projects/properties. Additionally, Greg manages the ongoing maintenance and capital projects for our entire portfolio of properties. Greg holds a Master’s in Business Administration.
